Nothing is made the way it used to be and furniture is no exception. Good solid wood furniture can last a lifetime. Whose lifetime can usually be determined by the shape as well as the hardware. Because of that many find the dated look of our grandparents furniture undesirable in the newer more modern home of today.
But wait! Don’t count it lost and banish it to the curb or worse the city wood pile! Don’t abandon it for some laminated, MDF, cheaply made put together furniture in a box. These overly priced pieces can warp and will not out last kids or pets! With some inspiration and a little love older solid wood furniture can last yet another lifetime…maybe yours and/or your kids.
